      The Late Harry Morgan's Voice and the UFOs.

      The first thing I thought of when I heard that Harry Morgan had passed, was how surprised I was to hear his voice as the pilot sent up in the chase plane over Washington D.C. during the '52 UFO flap over the Nation's Capital, in the 1956 documentary movie "Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story of the Flying Saucers" which to this day holds up looking like a real U.S. Air Force training film from the time period.

       The UFOs might not have landed on the Capitol lawn, but they sure buzzed the place back in 1952.  Some of you have seen the Newspaper photos.  And a young Harry Morgan was the Pilot's Voice over the Air Traffic Control radio speaker while Al Chop (Tom Towers) was watching the UFOs flying over Washington D.C. on the RADAR scope.  A lot of people still don't know that this movie was an actual documentary that showed actual military reviewed UFO film footage within the movie and had actual UFO witnesses interviewed by the Air Force in this documentary.  And that was 1956 they made that film, supervised closely by the U.S. Air Force.
       And if memory serves they mentioned Projects "Sign" and "Grudge" in the film and showed Al Chop being ordered to mislead the Press telling them the Air Force was "no longer in the UFO investigating business," even though obviously they were.  And there it was, right in the 1956 matinee movie houses.

      And Harry Morgan was part of this oft overlooked little piece of history.

    {ed. I just found this Blog dedicated to, as they put it, "…,Quite possibly the most important movie ever produced."  That might be a little melodramatic, but "Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story of the Flying Saucers" really is a movie of Historical Significance.  Here is your link to UFOtheMovie:  http://ufothemovie.blogspot.com/ –Dawson}

    Here are a couple of links to the full 1956 motion picture: UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS, The true Story of Flying Saucers

    ...and:

    And yes it reminds me of those real military training films we watched back in basic training back in the early '70s.
